Chemours Ends Sale of R-404A/507A

Chemours announced on May 2, 2024 “its strategic decision to cease sales” of R-404A and R-507A in the United States “in support of regulatory phasedown requirements.” This will presumably allow the company to focus its EPA manufacturing allocation on the production of lower-GWP refrigerants like R-449A.
